Goodbye April!

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good day!

Is it just me or has April just flown by?! I feel like I need another week still, I can't believe it's the 1st of May tomorrow!
Although, I am glad April is over now because I'm hoping the weather will warm up a bit, plus this month is going to be busy for me! Birthdays, a wedding to go too and I have lots of idea's that I want to pursue. I’m going to try and be super organized this month so I have the time and the things that I need to create my ideas.
Also I have big plans for my blog, so expect some changes to my blog this month! So excited!
Have you got anything planned for May?

For todays post I have decided to round up my favourite outfits from this month. I have narrowed them down to my favourite four. These outfits have been my go to outfits this month, especially the denim skirt and paisley blouse. Annoyingly the weather towards the end of the month hasn’t been that great, so I haven’t been able to style many spring/summer outfits. I’m hoping that May will be warmer so I can start styling shorts and more skirts/dresses without wearing tights!

These are my favourite outfits, I hope you like them!

I have linked the outfit posts in the titles if you want to take a look! :)

Denim & Paisley -

Leather Jacket - Topshop
Blouse - Lily Lulu Fashion
Denim Skirt - Topshop
Loafers - Clarks

This probably my all time favourite outfit from this month. I just love how good the paisley print blouse and the denim skirt look together! I think they are perfect for this seasons 70's trend! This was definitely my go to outfit this month.

Duster Coat - Primark
Slogan Top - Topshop
Trousers - Primark
Heels - Lily Lulu Fashion
Bag - Topshop

I really like this outfit because its different to what I have styled before and it was a nice change from denim and the 70's trend this month. The heels are just perfect with this outfit!

Jacket - Zara
Top - Topshop
Ripped Jeans - Topshop
Chunky Boots - Primark
Hat - Primark

This outfit was perfect for those casual days throughout April. It was nice to style this Zara jacket again as well! Easy to wear & comfy = Perfect!

*The only day that it was warm enough to go without tights!*

Leather Jacket - Topshop
Top - New Look
Denim Skirt - Topshop
Bag - Topshop
Loafers - Clarks
Hat - Primark

This was the first outfit I styled when I brought this amazing denim skirt and it was the only day where it was warm enough to wear it without tights! I don't think it would have looked as good with tights.

What is your favourite outfit of mine from this month? Doesn't have to be from the four above, if you have another favourite, I would love to know! Feel free to leave it in the comments and I will reply as soon as I can! :)

Thats all for tonights post, I hope you liked it!
Thank you so much for reading! Have a nice evening! :)

Wednesday Styling - City Chic

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good day!

For this weeks style I decided to go for a minimal look and a style that you can wear on days that are slightly cooler. I wanted to create an outfit that you can wonder around the city in and still look stylish. I would love to own this sort of outfit because you don't need to make too much of an effort but you still look stylish and on trend.

Here is how I interpreted the minimal look, hope you like it!
You can see all the item details here -

I decided to style a pair of white ripped skinny jeans with a striped bardot style top. Both items are from New Look and I thought they would look perfect together. I chose to add these amazing lace up shoes, I think they are from New Look but you can get similar pairs from Primark and other high street stores. I love the style of these shoes! They look amazing on and I think they would go with anything!

The navy fedora hat is from River Island and I chose it to match the blue stripes on the bardot top. Plus I thought it would add to the 'chic, minimal style' I was trying to achieve. To add to the look I added some silver rings and a choker style necklace. I wanted to keep the colours to a minimum which is why I chose silver and navy colours. The tortoise shell sunglasses and the pink lipstick add that tiny bit of colour to make the outfit stand out.

What do you think of the outfit? Would you style it differently? Let me know in the comments and I will reply as soon as I can! :)

Sorry it's a bit of a short post but I have a huge headache and I cannot concentrate properly. I hope you liked the post anyway!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you liked the outfit!

Current Obsession - Pinterest

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good day!

For today's post I have decided to write about my current obsession and that is Pinterest. I have had Pinterest since 2011 and used it mainly for college. However, I have started using it for a lot more and it has become so addictive!
It is a really good place to gather research, inspiration and ideas. This really helped during college and I plan to carry on using it through out University and probably the rest of my life! haha :) I love it!

If you want to take a look at my boards/profile, search Michaela Punnett or you can click here.

I have recently gone through and sorted all my boards out and deleting the ones that I no longer needed or wanted so I can start afresh. I have kept a couple of boards from college as I still find them inspiring and I like the photos!

I mainly use Pinterest for personal use at the moment but I am looking to use it for my blog as well. I have a board called Personal Style, which has all my outfit posts in and linked up to my blog. I am also thinking about creating a board purely for my posts as I think it will help my blog a bit. If any of you have ideas or tips on how to start using my Pinterest to help with my blog, please leave them below! It would really help me out! :)

Here a some of my favourite pins at the moment -

Loving lilac colour hair at the moment!! I have wanted this hair colour for ages and I finally have the guts to do it. I will be stripping my hair within the next couple of weeks and then I will dye it lilac! I will keep you updated on the blog with the progress, including before and after shots! :)

I have lots of DIY pins that I am wanting to do over the summer, including a flower crown DIY! The crown would go lovely with lilac hair ;) If you want to see the tutorial, you can find the pin in my DIY Fashion board.

As I mentioned above where I used Pinterest for college, I have some boards that are full of inspiration for DIY projects, sewing and illustration. I really want to practice my drawing skills before I go to uni in September, so these boards will really help. If your currently in education and studying a creative subject or just love being creative, feel free to take a look. I hope they inspire you as much as they do me! :)

Remember to leave your Pinterest names/links below so I can take a look at yours! :)

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed the post! Let me know what you think about Pinterest and if you have any tips! I will reply as soon as I can! :)

Have a nice evening!

Denim & Paisley

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good start to the week!

These photo's were taken in Notting Hill, London and I just love them! The area was so pretty and I would love to have more outfit photo's from London! I try to have a bit of variety of backgrounds for my outfits but it's getting harder to find area's that I have not used before, especially around where I live. So it is nice to finally have a different background on the blog for once!
Although now I have had photo's taken in London, I want more in London! There are so many nice places that would be perfect backgrounds!

Leather Jacket - Topshop
Blouse - Lily Lulu Fashion
Denim Skirt - Topshop
Loafers - Clarks

You may recognise this outfit from my Outfit Layout's post. I really liked the paisley blouse and denim skirt together so I decided to do an outfit post on them. Originally I styled them with my nude peep toe heels however since I was going to London on the day I was going to wear the outfit, I gave the heels a miss. I might re-style the outfit with the peep toe heels and a floppy hat but I haven't decided yet.

As you know I love my denim skirt, so styling it with this paisley blouse was an obvious choice for me. The blouse adds loads of colour and detail to the outfit, plus I think this outfit qualifies for the 70's trend with the paisley print and denim. Just wish I had my floppy hat to complete the look!

I chose the leather jacket and patent loafers for comfort more than anything because I knew I would be walking a lot that day. Since the weather couldn't make up it's mind, I thought the leather jacket would be the best choice. Light and easy to carry if I get too hot but keeps me dry and warm if the weather decided to turn. Perfect! I think they actually go with the outfit quite well and finishes the outfit off.

That's it for my outfit post today, hope you liked it!
Thank you so much for reading and feel free to leave any comments and I will get back to you as soon as I can! :)

Have a nice evening!

Modern Tailoring

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all have had a good week!

This week has been an odd week for me, some good days and some bad days. I'm just glad this week is over now, so I can enjoy the weekend and start afresh next week!
On Tuesday my family and I got a little kitten! She is just adorable! I have included a photo at the end of this post. I have spent today indoors looking after her as the rest of my family were at work and school. I was planning to be productive with my time and catch up on my blog posts. However, looking after this little one made it very difficult! haha :) I did manage to get a few posts done but not as many as I would have liked.

Anyway, this is today's outfit and I hope you like it!

Duster Coat - Primark
Top - Topshop
Check Trousers - Primark
Peep Toe Heels - Lily Lulu Fashion
Bag - Topshop

For today's outfit I wanted to go for a more tailored look which is why I decided to style these check trousers from Primark. I brought them last year and I haven't really worn them much, and so I am trying to style them more. For this outfit, I decided to pair them with my Faux Sake tee from Topshop and my powder blue duster coat from Primark. I thought the top would add a casual feel to the outfit and the blue duster coat adds some colour to the outfit.

I chose to wear my nude peep toes heels from LilyLulu Fashion because the colour matched the check print on the trousers. Plus I think they add a modern touch to the outfit. The cream bag is from Topshop and I chose it to match the shoes.

Hope you liked my outfit! How would you style these trousers?

Here's a photo of our new kitten!

Wednesday Styling - Spring Fever

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all have had a good week so far!

How has your day been?
Like usual I have been with Mod Dolly in London today but instead of being in the studio, we had a little outing in Notting Hill. We went to visit a boutique in Portobello Road. I have never been to Portobello Road before so it was nice to finally put an image to the name! It is a lovely area of London and we saw so many beautiful houses! Even managed to get a few outfit photo's with thanks to Paige! ;)

Anyway here is today's Wednesday Style, hope you like it! :)

You can view the items here -

Most of the items are from New Look but you can check by using the link above.

I have fallen in love with this outfit!
The printed shorts are from New Look and they are lovely! The colours and the intricate pattern looks really effective. Perfect for the summer months! :) The top is also from New Look and it is perfect for days out in the sun. It looks like a jersey fabric so I think it will keep you cool and comfortable. The good thing about this top, is that you could also dress it up by adding some black skinny jeans, heels and some jewellery.

I love the vintage style box bag! The bag is a lovely tan colour that I think brings out the colours in the shorts. I would love to own a bag like this, I have been searching for ages for a vintage one but I may give in and get this one from New Look.

I have recently brought a pair of tortoise shell sunglasses from Topman, for only £2!! All I thought when I saw them was 'Sod it, who cares that they are mens? They are £2!' To be honest I don't think you can tell the difference anyway! :)

What do you think about the outfit? What is your favourite item? I would love to know! Feel free to leave any comments below and I will reply as soon as I can! :)

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you liked it!
Have a nice evening!

Paisley Dreams

Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good start to the week!

How has your day been?
I have spent today indoors attempting to alter a bridesmaid dress for my next door neighbour! haha :) It has taken a lot longer than I thought it would because it has so many layers! I was planning to spend some of the day planning posts for the week ahead but I will have to do it tomorrow. After spending practically all day on on the dress, I have started to get a bit of a head ache.

For today's outfit post, I thought I would show you my recent purchases from Lily Lulu Fashion. You may recognise the items from my previous post 'Outfit Layouts'. I liked one of the outfits so much that I thought I would do an outfit post for you! :)

Hat - Primark
Leather Jacket - Topshop
Paisley Blouse - Lily Lulu Fashion
Jeans - Topshop
Peep Toe Heels - Lily Lulu Fashion

Staring with the gorgeous paisley print blouse from Lily Lulu Fashion. I just love it! The print is amazing and I love the colours! It is perfect for this seasons 70's trend! I decided to style it with a pair of black skinny jeans and a leather jacket because I originally styled this outfit for a night out, however I am thinking of styling it a bit different next time. Maybe go for a festival sort of vibe?

The nude peep toe heels are also from Lily Lulu and I love them! I don't usually go for nude but these are just too pretty not too! Although, I still had trouble deciding between the black and nude pair, I even went to Twitter and Instagram and asked you all to help me decide! haha :) I am so glad I went for the nude pair because it makes a change from black and I don't usually buy other colours (which I plan to change this year!)

The leather jacket and jeans are from Topshop and the hat is from Primark. I have had these items for a while but I still love them! You can style them with almost everything, especially the jeans and leather jacket!

That's all for tonight's post, I hope you liked it!
Thank you so much for reading and feel free to leave any comments below! I will reply as soon as I can! :)

Have a nice evening!
